Eaglet Flat is a specialist one bedroom self contained flat attached to Eaglehurst. This makes this flat perfect for emergencies, short term moves, young people transitioning out of care, and other specialties. Please contact Management to discuss placements of this flat.
It is designed such that it can be safely isolated and independent from the main house, with separate external access.
The recently renovated duplex apartment consists of one bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom to the first floor, and, to the ground floor, a large lounge; WC; and, a fully fitted kitchen. In addition, there is access to staff sleeping quarters dedicated to the Emergency Placement unit.
Young People attending as an emergency placement, will not have unauthorised access to the main house.
The Clinical Team will work extensively across services as required and a 1:1 ratio of support will be provided, as a minimum, in helping the Young Person in crisis to settle in by providing a warm, caring and safe environment with support from a high ratio of qualified care and clinical support as deemed necessary. Separate transport will always be provided for an emergency placement.
If Matching proves appropriate and a space is available in the main house, then, when agreed by all parties, a move will be suggested from the Solo Placement / Emergency Placement duplex apartment to a stepdown placement provision in the main house. If Matching is not appropriate, it will be a short stay at until a suitable placement can be found.
